Trying to decide what size shelter to get?

Deciding what size shelter to get can be full of anxiety. You don’t want to get one that’s too small otherwise your horse won’t all fit. You don’t want to get one that’s too big because it costs more money. Ok, breathe; we’re here to help!

Let’s talk about some basics. Our 10×12 or 10×14 shelter is usually pretty perfect for 1-2 horses. The 10×24 works great for 3-4 horses. The 10×30 and 10×40 are for 5+ horses. All of our shelters come standard with a 3’ shade over the front to give extra protection from the weather.

Those were the basics. Now for the other stuff. If you have one horse who likes to be a bully; we suggest either going a size up or getting another shelter. Another option is to get a divider in your shelter. This will allow you to place the shelter and the divider on the fence line; keeping the bully separate.

I should also add; these are only recommendations; your horses are going to do what they want. Why, because they can and they know you’ll love them no matter what.
